Hey There, my name is Elijah Upchurch !
I started my career in college at Fayetteville State University (FSU). I love photography and then eventually moved into sports photography/ fashion photography . I was amazed at the patterns that human hands could produce. I made it my mission to show more of it to the world. Also me seeing a lot of neat and special places, but none have felt like home the way Fayetteville State University (FSU) does. My impression of the campus is that every corner is a chance to capture a moment in time. The historic brick buildings are a lovely complement to the Carolina sky, demonstrating much of what makes this university significant historically while also showcasing the people who call it home. Shooting those quiet moments of students studying under the elderly trees, or the enjoyment of Bronco pride during campus events, shows its history in light, shadow and color. I have found no shortage of opportunity to create moments as a photographer at FSU (golden hour light glistening off the quad, candid smiles by friends moving from class to class, or the information on the details of a constructed or architectural feature that protects the legacy of the university). Each photograph taken here represents so much more than FSU. They represent the feeling of the place; the essence of a college community built on growth, resilience, and creativity.
